Page builder

The Elementor website builder allows you to create stunning websites without coding. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced developer, this guide will walk you through the basics of using Elementor and help you start your website-building journey.

1. Creating your first page:

Once Elementor is activated, you can start creating your first page:

  1. Click on Pages > Add New in your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Enter a title for your page.
  3. Click the Edit with Elementor button to launch the Elementor editor.

2. Understanding the Elementor interface:

Elementor’s interface is user-friendly and intuitive. Here’s a quick overview:

  • Elements panel: On the left side, you’ll find a panel with various widgets and elements. Drag and drop these elements onto your canvas to add content.
  • Canvas: The central area is your canvas. This is where you build your page by adding, arranging, and customizing elements.
  • Settings panel: On the left, you’ll find the settings panel. You can customize each element’s appearance, content, and advanced settings here.

3. Adding widgets to your page:

To add a widget to your page:

  1. Drag and drop: Find the element you want in the Elements panel. Click, hold, and drag it onto your canvas.
  2. Customizing widgets: Once a widget is on your canvas, click on it to reveal customization options in the left panel. Modify the content, style, and layout to suit your needs.

4. Previewing and publishing your page:

Before publishing your page, click the eye icon at the bottom to preview how it looks on different devices. If you’re satisfied:

  1. Click the Publish/Update button in the bottom-left corner.
  2. Choose whether to publish the entire page or just specific sections.
  3. Your changes are now live on your website!

5. Saving your work:

Elementor automatically saves your work, but you can also save it manually. Click the Update button to ensure your progress is preserved.

Congratulations! You’ve just created your first page with Elementor. Remember, practice makes perfect. Experiment with different widgets, layouts, and styles to unleash the full potential of this versatile builder.
